About Pam's
Patchwork
I became a new
Grandma in January of 2010, so I spent most of the year sewing for my
grandson and other family members. Toward the end of the year, I started looking for a
home where I could have more sewing space. I moved around the end of February this
year and now enjoy a bigger sewing space!
I first learned to sew in junior high school, but
I wasn't able to buy my first machine until I was in college. I managed to make a few clothes
for myself while I was a broke college student. After I got married in 1980, I became
pregnant 6 months later, so I started quilting before my son was born. I've been at
it ever since (31 years). I have made countless gifts
and custom orders through the years and I started selling online over 13 years ago. The
majority of my work includes original designs (I like to make things MY way...ha, ha!)
My focus is always on quality, durability, and
practical use.
I am very allergy-sensitive, so I
always pre-wash fabrics with All laundry soap. It is also good for protecting fabrics with
special finishes.
For any of you who may be allergic, I do have a dog in
the home now. What's a sewing room without a dog to keep you company? Ha, ha!
